Pitchoune is the house that Julia and Paul Childs built in Province, next to her coauthor of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Simone Beck. The kitchen was used by Julia and Simone to develop and test the recipes for Volume Two, of Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
Today, Pitchoune houses the Courageous Cooking School where students stay in the house or on the grounds and take lessons in the kitchen.
